Vacation delayed.

I'm still here in Jersey. There was a snafu with the airline and I ended up transfering my ticket to today. I'll be heading to the airport shortly and instead of coming home late Sunday night, I'll be getting in late Monday night.

It actually worked out better this way. I was so busy hanging out with Gabe this weekend that I didn't get anything finished up. Having an extra day to pack and run errands was nice.

The yarn that I bought from the yarn store is Dale of Norway Svale. I really like this yarn, it knits up beautifully. My only complaint is that it's so splitty.

I'm using it to knit the Nina Shawl from Mason-Dixon Knitting. After knitting 12 rows with Color A, you knit 2 rows with color B and then join Color C for a 2 by 2 check knit in fair isle using the stranding method.

I've never even attempted fair isle before, but last night I gave it a go and it's surprisingly easier than I thought it would be. I love it and I look foward to knitting more fair isle in the future!

Anyway, I'm off! I have a [much needed] vacation to take!
